Halloween Spirit
Now leaves the trees begin to change colors and the chill in the air may seem familiar, it's time to start thinking that the party scariest Halloween. Ghosts and goblins, demons and witches, and all the candy! I do not think all the year more exciting for the kids for Halloween.
Halloween is celebrated on 31 "Halloween" in October and has become a tradition, but this is not the only one. Parts of costumes, haunted houses and film festivals scary hayrides are all part of the week before the big day. Here are some of my Halloween ideas, perhaps you want to use some of them this year.
Decorating for Halloween need not be expensive, but if you want to spend a fortune. People do everything from decorating the simplest (pumpkin) and lights and a sumptuous personal favorite haunted houses and yards. You have to find something that fits your budget and commitment. Shops dollars is a lot of good decorations for Halloween, my favorites are the dollar stores glows in the dark spiders and skeletons. I hang the skeletons of trees and branches are lighted at night to give a terrible cold in the courtyard.
I want to do a few pumpkins on Halloween, one for each child, a family effort and of course my personal masterpiece (which I usually do 30, after the kids went to bed). You can find models of good pumpkin around the Web, but be sure to use a sharp knife, and if the children are young, you make the cut, but let them tell you what to cut.
Fog is another Halloween essential for me. I use two machines fog, a house (I hope that the stuff is not dangerous), with few windows open for ventilation and one outside to highlight anything scary I feel needs it. In general, the goal is 6 feet tall scary ghost that we call "big scary man." I bought his garden shop, and probably paid too much, but he goes for his third year now, and I am with my purchase. He is totally cool!
Hay bales and corn stalks are great yard accent pieces, and nothing comes out of creepiness better than these two items this fall. If you live on a farm, you can even build a maze of bullets and children to go through it to reach the front door.
Music, last but not least, Halloween. I was building my collection for years, but first, you can get a simple halloween sounds CD and put it on repeat. Chains, screams, cries are young quake in their boots. The first (including parents) find it funny, but clean. I like to throw in a mix of songs like Monster Mash Halloween, and of course, Halloween is not complete without a bit of Danny Elfman. If you are not familiar with the work of Mr. Elfman did the music for some of the scariest movies out there. Google sees and what comes back.
So lets get started soon. Get the decorations, and maybe it's Halloween, too. Christmas shopping is just around the corner, so when you can enjoy Halloween. It 'grew every opportunity to act like a child again.
